Pedal Extender for Piano

These adjustable pedal extenders are becoming quite popular!

This one is different than the others on the market in a few ways:

  • It operates with different adjustment mechanisms, but the result is the same

  • Provides extra rubber bumper protection for your pianos kneeboard

  • Provides leather cushions to protect the polyester surface from the pedals as well as the pedals of your piano.

This contraption is a treat treat for early piano players to use as they learn how to play the piano.

I've always wished that I had one of these as a kid!

The 3 brass pedals shine nicely after gently wiping it down with a soft cloth.

See the 3 leather dots below the pedals to keep the polyester surface in-tact as well as keeping the pedals silent when playing the piano.

There's plenty of surface area to rest your feet and forget that the pedal extender is there at all!

The Wooden pedal extender by CPS Imports

Pros

  • Further improvement of design compared with other similar products

  • Allows beginner piano players to reach the pedals

  • It looks great!

  • It makes you forget about need help reaching the pedals

Cons

  • Requires an adult to put into place

  • Should be moved out of the way for other (taller) piano players

  • Occasionally needs to be repositioned or readjusted for small changes

The large knob on the side controls the height setting (that works similarly to adjusting a beach chair). You can see the toothed metallic plate, allowing for a few different heights, depending on how tall the piano player is at this stage.

Turn the knob and you are free to move the foot surface up or down until latching it in the perfect spot.

After making this adjustment with the large knob, there's only 1 other setting that needs to be made before the pedal extender box provides a seamless experience for the piano player.

The "CPS Imports" logo can be found when viewing the pedal box from the right hand side.

The discreet logo does not appear on the front of the box, making it aesthetically pleasing from the front view.

It's really a simple design that works so perfectly. It solves a real pain for beginner piano players.

Buy If...

  • There's a beginner in the house who wants to reach the pedals

  • You need a pedal extender box that protects your piano as well

Don't Buy If...

  • You've outgrown the need to reach the pedals

  • The piano teacher says "NO!"

Hand tighten or loosen the wing nuts (pictured here) to set the circular pad at the top of each of the 3 pedals.

The 3 pads have a protective layer to gently press up against the piano, so as not to cause any damage to the pedals.

Here's a better picture from above. Surprisingly, it looks like it belongs there and fits well with the aesthetics of the piano.

Honestly, lots of thought and care went into a product like this that only costs $129.99.

Pedal Extender Price

Remarkably, the wooden adjustable piano pedal extender by CPS Imports only costs $129.99.

Plenty of other products cost just as much without nearly as much thought or care in the design of a product such as this, as it is so economically friendly.

These rubber bumpers protect your piano from the pedal extender box from migrating towards the kneeboard (which could potentially cause scratching). Thanks to these bumpers, that's no longer likely.

These bumpers help to keep the box in place so that it doesn't scoot around the floor during piano practice.

Is the Pedal Extender by CPS Imports worth it?

Yes! This is one of my favorite products to review.

I can't imagine how much more fun at the piano I would have had if I was able to play the sustain pedal sooner!

It's truly worthwhile product for an inexpensive price.
