This Hidrau bench is also available in black leather, which costs an extra $150. It may be worth it because the leather will last longer and not need to be replaced.

The Black vinyl upholstery is a pianist favorite that most expect for piano accessories. Though, I know that it may become necessary to replace the vinyl after about 10 years of use.

Is the Hidrau Adjustable Hydraulic Piano Bench worth it?

It out-competes all other benches in the market. The only other bench I would consider is the slightly wider Hidrau Bench made for duets.

This bench also comes without the annoyance of deeply sewn buttons (Tufted upholstery) commonly found on top of other padded piano benches.

The top surface of this Hydraulic Artist Bench is smooth/flat. There are no indentations from sewn-in buttons that cause for awkard repositioning while playing the piano.

This provides the freedom of movement a pianist deserves, while constantly enjoying the secure foundation of seated support whilst tickling the ivories.
