Can I upgrade my Yamaha Disklavier Player Piano to a DKC-900 Unit?

The DKC-900 upgrade kit is only available to newer systems like the Disklavier E3 or Mark IV:

E3

This category of Disklavier includes pianos with a Control Unit named the following:

• DKC800

Mark IV

This category of Disklavier includes pianos with a Control Unit named the following:

• DMC100

• PRC100

DKC-850

If you have any of the systems listed below, you must source your own DKC-850 from the aftermarket.

DKC-850’s are only available to older Disklaviers like the Mark III, Mark II, MX100A & B, and Wagon.

*DKC-850’s are no longer produced nor supported by Yamaha. Therefore, an authorized Yamaha piano dealer may be reluctant to install and may refuse to install this product.

Yamaha’s discontinuation of the DKC-850 does not preclude them from developing future product releases/upgrades for the systems below.

Mark III

This category of Disklavier includes pianos with a “Control Unit” named the following:

• DKC55RCD

• DKC60RCD

• DKC55

Mark II

This category of Disklavier includes pianos with a Control Unit named the following:

• DKC500RWXG

• DKC500RXG

• DKC500RW

• DKC500R

• DKC500

• DKC100XG (Add on with MIDI)

• DKC100R (Add on with MIDI)

• DKC100R (Add on with MIDI) - (Built in)

• DKC50R

Wagon and MX100A and B

This category of Disklavier includes pianos with a Control Unit named the following:

• DKW10

If you can’t upgrade to a more advanced Disklavier, consider upgrading to a QRS pianomation! All you need is a MIDI in and MIDI out port.
